BUSINESS APPLICATIONS

Business applications built around your records

Connect intake, day-to-day operations and reporting without creating a different copy of the data for every audience.

Start with the information, not another isolated tool

A request form is only useful if someone can act on what arrives. The next steps might involve assigning a job, asking for missing information, updating a customer or reviewing a report. When each of those steps belongs to a different data model, the business ends up maintaining the connections by hand.

FormLogic starts with reusable forms and records, then organises them into apps and workflows. SoftN adds a portable custom interface when a particular interaction needs more than a conventional form. Together they provide a path from structured intake to a more complete operational workspace.

An illustrative service-business workflow

A customer submits a request through a portal. Staff see it in their work queue, link it to an existing customer and schedule the next action. A manager reviews totals and unresolved work in a dashboard. Those are different views of the same underlying information, not three independently maintained request databases.

A configured flow can respond to submission or record events by creating follow-up work or preparing a notification. AI can assist with a draft or a classification when it is useful, but the workflow can also remain entirely rule-based. This is a design example, not a customer testimonial or a preconfigured promise.

  • Define the forms and linked records that describe the operation.
  • Create separate staff and customer experiences with explicit permissions.
  • Add dashboards and reports for the decisions each audience needs to make.
  • Automate one well-understood transition before extending the workflow.

Which projects belong in the solution?

FormLogic owns the shared business records, membership and workflow configuration. SoftN provides editable app interfaces and their runtime. ZIPP executes the relevant form and app logic inside the host’s boundaries. Add OAIY only when the workflow needs local AI, services, device access or background execution.

Aokie can be added when telephone conversations should create records or appointment requests. XDB is useful for the appropriate local SoftN data layer, but FormLogic business records do not automatically become an XDB peer network.

What to validate before using real data

Begin with fictional records and exercise every role. A customer should not see another customer’s records, and a staff interface should not imply an administrative capability it cannot safely perform. Test failures, repeated events and interrupted work as well as the successful path.

For hosted SoftN applications, review backend migrations and owner record controls. Direct database administration does not execute every app-specific validation rule. Document which operations belong in the app workflow and which are reserved for maintenance.

Start with one complete process

Explore FormLogic’s hosted demo or install a relevant marketplace starter. Adapt the forms and roles around one real process, then trace a record from creation to completion. Add a bespoke SoftN interface only where it improves the experience.

For self-hosting, read the deployment guide and the licence. Back up platform metadata and the relevant SQLite stores consistently. A portable client export is not a replacement for those operational backups.
